Normandy is a beautiful area, and the varied Calvados landscape includes the coastal harbours and beaches of Honfleur, Deauville and Trouville, the port of Ouistreham and the city of Caen, the inland market towns of Pont l'Eveque, St Pierre-sur-Dives and Lisieux, and the beautiful verdant countryside of the Pays d'Auge with its many apple orchards and stud farms. It is so easy to get to Normandy from the UK, with the ports of Le Havre, Ouistreham, Dieppe and Cherbourg all within easy driving distance. Paris is 2 hours by train, and even Calais is just 2.5 hours from the famous Pont de Normandie.

| Typical Colombage Cottage |
|
|
Typical houses in the Calvados region are the 'colombage' or 'half-timbered' cottages often with thatched roofs complete with planted flowers! There are also elegant Maisons de Maitre and chateaux if you prefer something grander! Whether you are looking for a shack or a chateau, a DIY project or a comfortable holiday retreat, I can help to track it down for you.

How I can help... Once you have decided you would like to buy in France, contact the Granny in your chosen area (see Links page), and ask for a questionnaire. I cover the area of Calvados, from Honfleur to Caen along the coast, down to Falaise and Livarot on the border with Orne (61) and Eure (27), although I tend to concentrate on the Pays d'Auge region. As soon as I receive your completed questionnaire and cheque, I will contact you for a detailed discussion. Using all sources available to me, I will send you initial details of properties that I think meet your requirements. Where possible, I will then visit your shortlisted properties, sending you a report with photographs as required (This report is my opinion only, and does not constitute a survey). Please note that properties are selling very quickly in this region.

I will arrange an itinerary of property viewings for your visit, accompanying you to as many as I can. I can also help with finding accommodation, if you wish. If you don't find the right property on your first visit (and assuming you're not looking for anything unreasonable), I keep searching - it is out there somewhere! And finally, I'm at the end of a PC or telephone for you at any time during your search, should you want advice on any aspect of living in France!
